Summary
Aid the Director of Research Accounts in managing grant accounts. Tasks include account setup, expenditure monitoring, guideline review, account reconciliation, and report preparation.
Responsibilities
- Reconcile account balances in financial systems at ACRI and AC on a scheduled basis.
- Create and maintain various financial reports for award programs.
- Schedule and prepare for account review meetings.
- Set up new grants in Workday.
- Maintain and monitor budget revision requests for approval.
- Approve grant expenditures in Workday according to budget, policy, and sponsor requirements.
- Provide customer service to the research community.
- Familiarize with federal guidelines applicable to grants.
- Familiarize with AC Travel policy and ACRI and AC policies regarding procurement.
- Request user role assignments for ACRI grants as necessary.
- Prepare and update reports such as Schedule of Activities by Grant detail, Overhead by Grant Funding Source, Schedule K, Federal Revenue and Expense by Agency, Deficit Account Balances, and others, as needed.
- Monthly reporting of federal subawards in accordance with FFATA.
- Aid in annual account reviews with Principal Investigators and staff.
- Research and address questions and issues from investigators and staff as assigned.
- Verify UAMS salary and fringe invoices alignment with grant budgets and resolve discrepancies with UAMS staff and Grants Accounting.
- Partner with UAMS Grants Accounting to ensure timely payment of invoices and communication of canceled invoices to AC Information Systems and Accounting, as well as UAMS.
- Review subaward invoices for regulatory compliance and budget adherence.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED, or 2 years of experience in lieu of a diploma/GED.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field of study preferred.
