Reseach & Development Scientist I - Le Mars, IA

About the role

This entry level professional will provide tactical execution of R&D initiatives, delivering R&D plans and strategies in support of company objectives. They will apply learnings to document and communicate project needs and status updates, contributing to project performance.

Responsibilities

• Takes new and existing products from conceptualization through commercialization under supervision.
• Documents and communicates project needs and status updates.
• Coordinates project activities necessary to bring new and existing products to market, adhering to project constraints of time, target, and budget.
• Works closely with experienced technologists to gain understanding and apply knowledge of ingredients, products, and manufacturing processes.
• Adds value through innovation, applying learnings, creativity, and technical knowledge.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in food/dairy science or related field.
• Entry-level professional in food/dairy or related field.
• Knowledge of food science/dairy science basics, R&D business plans, and companies' overall business objectives.
• Skills in time management, project management, strong written and verbal communication, interpersonal skills, and task prioritization.
• Ability to think strategically, communicate effectively, manage multiple tasks, self-direct personal development, and foster effective working relationships.
