About the role
As a Research Associate I at Moffitt, you will perform basic biological, behavioral, social science, or public health research within a specified research program. This role provides technical and analytical support for various research programs across all Moffitt divisions and may include administrative and training responsibilities. You will work under the general supervision of a Principal Investigator (PI) and as part of a team under the direct supervision of more senior lab personnel. The position involves planning, developing, and implementing original experimental procedures within the project’s scope.
This part-time role in Dr. Avram’s lab focuses on conducting animal work.
Responsibilities
- Perform basic research in biological, behavioral, social science, or public health fields.
- Provide technical and analytical support for research programs across Moffitt divisions.
- Participate in the planning, development, and implementation of experimental procedures.
- Conduct animal work as part of Dr. Avram’s lab.
- May include administrative and training responsibilities, as assigned.
Requirements
- Minimum of a bachelor’s degree required.
- Hands-on research experience is required.

Pay
Salary range: $18.64 - $28.53 per hour. Salary may vary based on location, experience, skills, education, and internal equity among team members in similar positions.
