Requirements Analyst/ Systems Analyst

About the role

This role bridges customer stakeholders and the technical delivery teams, gathering and documenting requirements, translating them into actionable technical specifications, and supporting systems analysis across the enterprise data warehouse, reporting, search, and analytics workstreams.

Essential Functions

• Elicit, analyze, and document functional and technical requirements from government stakeholders
• Translate business needs into clear technical specifications and user stories for delivery teams
• Support systems analysis across data warehouse, reporting, application, and analytics workstreams
• Facilitate requirements sessions and maintain requirements traceability
• Coordinate with developers, data engineers, and analysts to ensure requirements are met throughout the delivery lifecycle
• Support user acceptance testing and validate delivered capabilities against documented requirements
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, including backlog grooming and sprint planning

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in data science or a related quantitative field (experience can be considered in lieu of education)
• Active secret clearance is required

Experience & Skills

• 5+ years of experience in requirements analysis, systems analysis, or business analysis on IT programs
• Experience documenting requirements and technical specifications in an Agile development environment
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate business needs into technical requirements
• Experience working with data management, reporting, or application development teams
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Experience with Azure DevOps (ADO) or comparable application lifecycle management tools
• Experience supporting federal data or analytics programs

Schedule

This is a full-time position with flexible hours based on mission requirements.

Work Environment & Physical Demands

• Must be able to remain in a stationary position 75% of the time
• Occasionally moves about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
• Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer
• Expresses or exchanges ideas by means of the spoken word; must convey detailed or important spoken instructions to other workers accurately, loudly or quickly
• Frequently moves standard office equipment up to 25 pounds
• Must be able to work indoor conditions 90% of the time
• Regularly required to talk or hear; frequently required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel, and reach with hands and arms
