About the Role
The Representative - Promotions and Events supports various events hosted by Resorts World, ensuring excellent customer service for guests.
Responsibilities
- Assist with pre-event planning, tasks, and projects.
- Serve as a greeter, brand ambassador, usher, and/or ticket taker for special events.
- Assemble gift packages, mailers, welcome packets, and other event-related materials.
- Complete guest check-in while providing excellent customer service.
- Assist with event tear-down and clean-up.
- Provide drink service throughout the casino and resort.
- Complete account signups for Resorts World’s program.
- Assist Convention/Group Sales with guest registration.
- Order and deliver amenities to guest rooms or other locations.
- Serve as a property ambassador during high-need periods.
- Obtain and maintain position-specific licensing.
- Use personal device/cellular phone for job-related tasks and company documents.
- Perform other job-related duties as requested.
Requirements
- Ability to contribute, grow, and learn in the special events and promotions field.
- Excellent writing and communication skills.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to effectively communicate in English.
- Polished appearance and demeanor.
- Ability to obtain and maintain full knowledge of company and department rules, policies, and procedures.
- Ability to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Qualifications
- At least 21 years of age.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of six months of experience in special events within a similar or related field.
- Proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
- Ability to obtain Nevada Gaming Registration.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience working in a large, luxury resort setting.
Physical Demands
- Work is typically performed in an office and hotel environment.
- Must be tolerant to varying conditions of noise level, temperature, illumination, and air quality.
- Prolonged sitting/standing.
- Bending and reaching.
- Transporting, pushing, pulling, lifting, and maneuvering items weighing up to 25 lbs.
- Eye/hand coordination.
- Ability to comply with policies, procedures, daily memorandums, chemical labels (SDS), and other instructions.
Core Responsibilities
- Everyone is an Ambassador: Treat the property like your own home. Ensure no one gets hurt, everyone feels secure, the environment is clean, and every guest gets what they need.
- Everyone works in Safety: Address safety concerns by correcting them or notifying the appropriate department.
- Everyone works in Security: Report security concerns to the appropriate department.
- Everyone works in EVS: Pick up trash or notify the appropriate department for larger messes.
- Everyone works in Guest Experience: Assist guests with a smile and escalate needs to the appropriate department when necessary.
