Program Overview
RePower, our return-to-work program, is specifically designed for experienced professionals who have at least five years of prior work experience and have taken a career break of two or more years for any reason. Participants are supported with meaningful project work aligned to their expertise, along with dedicated mentoring, training, and professional development opportunities.
Requirements
- College, university, or equivalent Bachelor's degree in Engineering or appropriate STEM field is required.
- Prior Senior or Lead Engineer equivalent work experience in a relevant discipline area is required with a demonstrated track record of technical problem solving and quality decision making.
- Knowledge of MS Office tools is preferred.
- Strong listening, documentation, and communication skills; comfortable following processes, asking questions, working hands-on, reading drawings, and collaborating effectively within cross-functional teams.
- Proficient with Microsoft applications and capable of using engineering tools to support calculations, documentation, and technical workflows.
- Demonstrates curiosity, mechanical inclination, willingness to learn, and high attention to detail—key traits for success in a returnship environment.
Qualifications
- Apply strong mechanical aptitude across machine-element design (gears, shafts, bearings, seals, fasteners), GD&T interpretation, and manufacturing processes such as casting, forging, and machining.
- Diagnose and resolve issues using structured root-cause methods, risk assessments (including FMEA), and simple engineering calculations to support drive-axle and OEM-focused design work.
- Translate stakeholder needs into clear, verifiable system requirements and manage their evolution throughout the product lifecycle.
- Capture and communicate technical knowledge to enable efficient collaboration, knowledge transfer, and improved engineering productivity.

Benefits
- Compensation for this role is $9,200/month (subject to applicable withholdings).

Schedule
- This role requires a consistent onsite schedule—typically 3 days per week—to support in-person work, real-time coordination, and effective collaboration with team members who perform their duties onsite.
