About the Role
A Reporting Analyst will expand and optimize our data and reporting pipeline architecture, ensuring optimal data flow and collection for cross-functional teams. This role supports business, reporting, and data teams on reporting initiatives, ensuring consistent delivery architecture across projects. The ideal candidate is self-directed, comfortable supporting multiple teams, systems, and products, and will monitor the performance and quality of junior data and reporting analysts.
Responsibilities
- Review business requirements documents submitted by business units or other analysts for completeness and accuracy.
- Assemble large, complex data sets that meet functional and non-functional business requirements.
- Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements, such as automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery, and re-designing report infrastructure for greater scalability.
- Collaborate with data and analytics experts to enhance functionality in reporting systems.
- Create advanced or complex reports using T-SQL based on business requirements.
- Automate reports by adding them to the SSRS server, creating schedules, and managing distributions.
- Develop visualizations for dashboards and other reports in SSRS based on business requirements.
- Create and maintain SQL Stored Procedures and Views for ease of reporting and consistency.
- Design new database tables to allow new data imports based on business needs.
- Investigate and resolve root causes of corrupted data, correct coding errors, and related issues.
- Build analytics tools that utilize the data pipeline to provide actionable insights into customer acquisition, operational efficiency, and other key business performance metrics.
- Develop and maintain databases and data systems, reorganizing data into readable formats.
- Work with management to prioritize business and information needs.
- Mentor and coach junior data/reporting analysts and perform quality control reviews of their work for completeness and accuracy.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience with Microsoft SQL Server, T-SQL, SSRS, and SSIS.
- Advanced SQL knowledge and experience working with relational databases, query authoring, and familiarity with various databases.
- Ability to work independently and in a team setting.
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills for collecting, measuring, organizing, and analyzing data.
- High accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- 3+ years of experience in an analyst or similar role (preferred).
- 1+ years of experience in the Mortgage Servicing Industry (strongly preferred).
- Working knowledge of Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) processes (preferred).
- BS in Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Management, or Statistics (strongly preferred).
