Reporting Analyst

Primary Responsibilities

• Conduct investigative analysis, research exceptions, and perform auditing projects to identify anomalies, reporting inconsistencies, commission discrepancies, process inefficiencies, and business improvement opportunities.
• Perform reconciliations and investigative reviews to ensure the accuracy of revenue, production, compensation, and operational reporting.
• Support the Senior Financial Analyst in responding to individual and agency requests and questions, as well as continued Power BI maintenance.
• Work with Management on the internal auditing efforts of the company's E&O Program.
• Work with (the VP of) Operations on an ad-hoc basis.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• 1-2 years working in auditing, internal auditing, accounting, finance, compliance, reporting analysis, financial analysis, or related field preferred
• Proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, lookups, formulas)
• Familiarity with Power BI is a plus
• Familiarity with Insurance industry a plus
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
• Strong attention to detail with a focus on data integrity and accuracy
• Naturally curious and enjoys investigating discrepancies, exceptions, and unusual trends
• Comfortable working through ambiguous problems and identifying root causes
• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain findings clearly to non-technical stakeholders
• Interest in finance, operations, and business analysis with a desire to grow into broader analytical responsibilities
