Fox Television Stations owns and operates 29 full-power broadcast television stations in the U.S., including stations in 14 of the top 15 largest designated market areas (DMAs) and duopolies in 11 DMAs, such as New York, Los Angeles, and Chicago. Eighteen of these stations are affiliated with the FOX Network. The stations collectively produce approximately 1,200 hours of local news every week and leverage viewer, distributor, and advertiser demand for FOX Network’s national content.

About the Role

WTVT-FOX 13 in Tampa is seeking a three-day-a-week reporter and weekend streaming host. As a reporter, you will innovate, write, and deliver compelling content across all platforms, from traditional newscasts to breaking news live streams. On weekends, you will produce and host our expanding streaming news, focusing on meaningful conversations and audience engagement.

This role requires a journalist who has evolved beyond linear television workflows, creating content designed for all platforms. The ideal candidate will demonstrate versatility in storytelling, live presentation, and digital engagement.

Responsibilities

• Present stories live in-studio and from remote locations, taking full ownership of content and delivery.
• Produce and present extended, unscripted live content from the field for newscasts and live streams.
• Write sharp, effective text copy for digital sites and maintain an active social media presence.
• Develop content tailored for both linear and streaming platforms, emphasizing audience connection.
• Host weekend streaming news, bringing curiosity, insight, and personality to every story.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a reporter and anchor.
• Demonstrated ability to shoot, edit, and produce content (a reel is required).
• Experience with digital and social media platforms.
• Strong live reporting and hosting skills, with the ability to engage audiences in unscripted formats.

This is not an entry-level position; candidates must have a news-gathering background.

Pay

The pay range for this role is $90,000–$105,000 annually, with the final offer dependent on education, skills, experience, and location.
