About the role
In this role, you will cover and analyze spot markets, write daily and weekly news stories, and network with contacts in the natural gas industry. You will be innately curious and personable, quickly becoming a subject matter expert. The position involves daily news reporting, market analysis, and feature writing in a fast-paced environment with high standards of journalistic independence and integrity.

Responsibilities
- Cover and analyze spot markets in the natural gas industry
- Write daily and weekly news stories, market commentary, and analysis pieces
- Network and develop relationships with industry contacts
- Synthesize complex information quickly and write clearly under strict deadlines
- Present at industry conferences, lead webinars, podcasts, and other multimedia sessions
- Drive projects forward with self-motivation and initiative to meet tight deadlines
Requirements
- Graduate with a strong degree, preferably in journalism
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S. for any U.S. employer
- Demonstrated reporting, writing, and goal-oriented collaboration skills
- Strong diplomatic, analytical, and problem-solving abilities
- Basic understanding of markets; experience covering physical commodity markets is a plus
- Commitment to accuracy and meeting established deadlines
- Strong experience with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
