About the role

A dynamic and enterprising News Reporter position for a journalist who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative newsroom and is passionate about telling compelling stories across broadcast, digital, and streaming platforms.

Responsibilities

• Develop enterprise original, impactful stories that resonate with the local community across all platforms: broadcast, digital, streaming, and social media.
• Deliver live reports with confidence and clarity, especially during breaking news and developing stories.
• Write and produce content in a clear, concise, and engaging manner tailored to each platform.
• Build and maintain a network of sources to stay ahead of the news curve.
• Conduct interviews with newsmakers and community members to enhance storytelling.
• Collaborate with producers, photographers, and newsroom staff to shape coverage and segment ideas.
• Ensure all content meets FOX4’s standards for journalistic integrity and production quality.
• Contribute to the station’s digital presence.
• Take part in special projects and other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum two years of experience in news reporting.

Skills

• Strong on-air presence and ability to ad-lib effectively.
