Responsibilities
- Inspects all component parts, noting required dimensions on inspection prints or other documentation provided.
- Disassembles and cleans/power washes parts, assemblies, and subassemblies as needed for inspection.
- Maintains organized storage of RMA components.
- Performs equipment maintenance and housekeeping duties.
- Aligns components and fastens them together.
- Installs moving parts, such as shafts, levers, or bearings, and works them to test free movement.
- Bends and installs pipe for hydraulic systems.
- Aligns and meshes gears in gearbox to assemble system of gears.
- Tests or assists in testing operation of completed product.
- Plans assembly procedures and methods to assure efficient and timely progress.
- Inspects parts for proper machining finish and dimensions; checks and tests subassemblies and units.
- May be required to repair parts as needed.
- Performs other duties as needed or assigned.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read precision measuring instruments.
- Demonstrates KBC values of personal accountability, discipline, trust, and proactive action.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED required).
- This position requires the knowledge of standard tools, materials methods, and practices required in assembling product.
- Required to read and interpret blueprints, read precision measuring instruments (i.e. micrometers, calipers, tape measures, etc.), and operate a forklift and overhead crane.
- Must be able to read and write simple correspondence.
- Should have the ability to maintain machinery, equipment, and tools used in assembly.
- Must have the ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds occasionally; anything over 50 pounds requires two people, or the use of a lifting device.
