Repair Tech

About the role

TERREPOWER is seeking a dedicated Wheel Repair Technician to assist in the wheel refinishing process. The position involves operating various pieces of equipment, performing thorough inspections, and completing tasks such as sanding, dressing, welding, and heat/straightening wheels.

Responsibilities

• Operate each piece of equipment per instructions.
• Thoroughly inspect and quality control wheels.
• Sand/dress cosmetic defects on both sides of the wheel.
• Weld necessary wheels using TIG welding (prior experience recommended).
• Heat/straighten wheels using a wheel press.
• Perform some mill work as needed.
• Follow company safety policies, procedures, and maintain good housekeeping practices.

Requirements

• Able to lift 30 – 50 lbs. continuously, 60 lbs. on occasion.
• Able to stand for long periods of time.
• Steel toed footwear with slip guard, safety glasses, hearing protection, proper gloves, and respirator (all PPE with exception of footwear will be provided).

Qualifications

Experience with welding is recommended but not required. Training will be provided.

Skills

• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to follow instructions and operate machinery safely.
• Good physical stamina and endurance.

Pay

Compensation is commensurate with experience.

Schedule

Shifts available:

• First Shift: 7am - 3:30pm
• Second Shift: 3pm - 11:30pm
• Third Shift: 11pm - 7:30am

Training will be provided.
