About the role
Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation is seeking a Repair Station Inspector A&P - Avionics to support avionics upgrade and modification programs. This role ensures aircraft inspections, installations, and documentation meet Gulfstream, FAA, and applicable foreign regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
- Perform Quality Control inspections of avionics installations, modifications, repairs, and alterations on aircraft and aircraft components.
- Inspect avionics upgrade projects, including STC and MRA modifications, ensuring work complies with approved engineering and regulatory data.
- Review and interpret wiring diagrams, engineering drawings, 3D models, and installation documentation to verify conformity and workmanship.
- Validate configuration changes, drawing revisions, and approval substantiation to ensure regulatory compliance throughout project execution.
- Cover coordination inspection, electrical, and maintenance requirements with production teams during aircraft modification activities.
- Conduct audits of maintenance and inspection records to ensure accuracy, completeness, and timely return-to-service documentation.
- Verify aircraft and components meet FAA, CAA, and company airworthiness requirements prior to flight activities.
- Maintain accurate, legible inspection records and support the production of complete aircraft documentation packages.
- Provide guidance and mentoring to technicians regarding documentation practices and quality standards.
- Support Quality Assurance initiatives and provide technical assistance related to regulatory and certification requirements.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) license required.
- Six (6) years of aviation maintenance experience in avionics, electrical, and/or mechanical systems.
- Strong electrical systems knowledge, including the ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and technical drawings.
- Experience reviewing engineering documentation, revisions, and compliance records.
- Working knowledge of Quality Assurance and Quality Control systems and methodologies.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and apply shop mathematics.
- Strong computer skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
- Ability to work from elevated platforms, lifts, ladders, and stands.
- Ability to work in confined spaces as required.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Experience supporting aircraft certification, STC, or modification programs is preferred.
