About the Role
The R&M Technician performs hands-on tasks using Weatherford's facilities, equipment, machinery, and systems. This role involves inspection, repair, and maintenance of field tools, preparing them for their next assignment. Tasks include receiving tools, dismantling, repairing, and refurbishing using technical manuals, procedures, and work instructions. Senior roles may lead and oversee tasks carried out by other R&M employees.
Responsibilities
- Participates in daily operations and safety meetings, toolbox talks, Job Hazard Analysis (JHA), and reports issues promptly.
- Maintains equipment, facilities, and work areas in a safe and presentable condition.
- Repairs machines, equipment, or structures using tools such as hammers, hoists, cranes, drills, wrenches, and precision measuring instruments.
- Inspects used parts to determine dimensional changes using rules, calipers, micrometers, or other measuring instruments.
- Follows maintenance processes for unloading, disassembly, cleaning, pressure testing, visual checking, painting, assembly, loading, and storage of tools, completing all necessary documentation.
- Initiates, updates, and closes out AIRTs, PFTs, forms, checklists, and work orders during equipment maintenance.
- Accurately logs labor time in the Work Order (WO) Time tracking system.
- Uses tools and lifting equipment (e.g., forklifts, cranes) for safe movement of equipment, following training and certification requirements.
- Accepts incoming shipments and prepares shipments for dispatch, ensuring documentation accuracy and compliance with company procedures.
- Supports LEAN initiatives and participates in continuous efficiency improvement programs.
- Performs other assigned duties safely within physical job constraints.
- Reports equipment failures and troubleshooting requirements to R&M Management.
- Demonstrates social orientation by working collaboratively with others.
Requirements
- High School Diploma.
- Basic computer skills.
- 2-4 years of experience in the oil & gas industry.
- Valid Commercial Driver's License is a plus.
