Repack Clerk

About the role

Loffredo Fresh Foods is a local, family-owned food and produce distributor serving the Midwest region. This position is based out of their Des Moines branch.

Responsibilities

• Repackage bulk food items into various pack sizes according to company standards and specifications
• Ensure accurate labeling and count on all repackaged products
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the repackaging area to meet food safety standards
• Inspect products for quality defects and report any issues to the manager
• Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries
• Auxiliary tasks include assisting with inventory management, reworking bulk and case freight as needed, and collaborating with team members to achieve daily production goals and deadlines

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred with 2 years of experience with similar responsibilities
• Ability to work independently with a team setting
• Must be detail oriented and have a positive attitude
• Excellent oral and written communications skills
• HACCP training and a technical skill set is desired
