Job Responsibilities
- Maintains personal cleanliness; wears and maintains the cleanliness of assigned personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Keeps the repack facility and equipment clean in compliance with food-safe handling requirements
- Checks the condition, quality, and expiration dates (“wholesomeness”) of bulk items; performs temperature checks on cold product; reports any damages
- Scoops bulk items into repack packaging at predetermined amounts as ascribed by the Purchase Order and Item Description; prepares product samples for Culinary Sales on request
- Verifies product type and weights, where necessary; generates and affixes product labels
- Moves material both by hand and using equipment to and from the repack facility and warehouse locations; places items in assigned locations, ensuring proper FIFO rotation
- Effectively and safely operates and maintains repack facility equipment and Material Handling Equipment (MHE)
- Complies with all use instructions and safety requirements
- Reports maintenance issues to appropriate personnel
- Effectively and responsibly uses and maintains technology hardware
- Communicates in various mediums with customers, vendors, and other employees politely and professionally, as appropriate
- Contributes to the team by performing other work as necessary
Qualifications
- Minimum one year of related warehouse/distribution experience
- Ability to read and understand invoices and other written materials
- Experience with powered/motorized warehouse equipment (manual and electric pallet jacks) preferred
- Previous experience in the food industry preferred
- Experience with sorting, loading, and unloading food and non-food items preferred
- Ability to work independently and as part of a diverse team, changing gears when required
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communications skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Dynamics, Excel, and Word) and other tech skills, including use of email, multi-line phone system, and text
- On-call availability in emergency situations preferred
- Bilingual communications skills (English and Spanish) preferred

Physical Requirements
- Must be able to access and navigate every department within the organization
- Must be able to bend, lift (at least 55 lb.), stretch, and climb (including ladders)
- Must be able to sustain prolonged periods of standing and walking
- Must be able to work across temperature zones (dry/refrigerated/frozen)
- Must be able to work at heights up to 60 feet using ladders, lifts, and MHE; must be able and willing to operate equipment as needed
