Rental Representative - Part-Time

About the Role

A Penske Part-Time Rental Representative is ideal for a driven individual who thrives in an entrepreneurial environment and seeks to develop their skills. This entry-level opportunity offers involvement with sales, administrative, service, and operations teams at Penske’s leading transportation company. The position is part-time, typically 15-25 hours per week, and located at the Penske facility in Eden, MD.

Responsibilities

• Handle inbound and outbound sales processes
• Generate new business leads and maintain existing customer relationships
• Manage and oversee a large fleet of vehicles
• Match vehicle demand with availability
• Coordinate all aspects of customer accounts
• Ensure complete customer satisfaction in a fast-paced environment
• Complete other projects and tasks as assigned by a supervisor

Requirements

• At least 6 months of retail sales and/or customer service experience preferred
• High School diploma or equivalent required
• Bilingual (Spanish) preferred
• Ability to make independent decisions, work well in a team, and demonstrate strong customer service and organizational skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
• Valid Driver’s License required; ability and willingness to drive Penske vehicles, including up to a 26' box truck
• Regular, predictable attendance is essential
• Willingness to work the required schedule, travel as necessary, and complete Penske’s employment application
• Submission to a background investigation (including past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening

This position is regulated by the Department of Transportation (DOT) and requires a current driver qualification file, including an annual motor vehicle records (MVR) check, a successfully completed DOT Physical, and Safety Performance History records from prior employers in the last 3 years. CDL holders will undergo a DOT Drug Screening within 30 days of start and a FMCSA Clearinghouse review. The role is safety-sensitive, requiring constant alertness and safe work practices.

Pay

$15.48 - $19.38 hourly
