About the Role
Mustang Rental Services is a leading equipment rental provider serving the Houston and Beaumont metro regions, operating a diversified fleet spanning general rental and heavy equipment across a multi-branch network. The company supports construction, industrial, infrastructure, and energy customers with a strong focus on uptime, utilization, cost discipline, and execution consistency.
We are seeking a driven and analytical Environmental Health and Safety Manager to lead execution rigor, safe work practices, and safety performance improvement across the organization.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain enterprise health, safety, and environmental (HSE) policies, programs, and standards.
- Lead safety audits, inspections, and incident investigations; identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for OSHA and other regulatory agencies, including inspections and inquiries.
- Ensure audit-ready documentation, reporting, and corrective action tracking across safety and environmental programs.
- Partner with HR, Facilities, Operations, and Legal to proactively identify, assess, and mitigate safety and compliance risks.
- Lead safety training, drills, and compliance education to promote awareness and accountability across the organization.
- Establish consistent safety standards and scalable practices as the company grows and operations expand.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support team and organizational objectives.
Qualifications
Education & Certifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, or a related field.
- Professional certifications such as CSP, ASP, or similar credentials preferred.
- OSHA 500 and/or 501 preferred.
Experience
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in health, safety, and environmental management within a regulated environment.
- Experience in equipment rental, industrial services, logistics, construction, or asset-intensive environments strongly preferred.
- Proven track record of driving execution improvements across multiple locations or teams.
- Experience directly managing teams and developing employees.
- Strong working knowledge of OSHA standards and industrial safety programs.
- Working knowledge of environmental compliance requirements.
- Experience managing regulatory inspections and audits.
