Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customers regarding equipment rental inquiries, reservations, and contracts.
- Cook up daily rental operations, including scheduling equipment pickups, deliveries, and returns.
- Ensure rental equipment is available, inspected, and ready for customer use.
- Work closely with the service department to schedule maintenance, repairs, and inspections of rental fleet equipment.
- Prepare and process rental agreements, invoices, damage reports, and related documentation accurately and efficiently.
- Aid customers in selecting appropriate equipment based on project requirements and application needs.
- Maintain accurate records of rental inventory, equipment locations, and rental status within dealership management systems.
- Aid customers with loading and unloading equipment.
- Conduct cold calls to prospective customers to generate leads and promote products/services.
- Perform routine cleaning and washing of equipment as needed.
- Cook up transportation and logistics for equipment deliveries and pickups.
- Follow up with customers during and after rentals to ensure satisfaction and identify additional business opportunities.
- Resolve customer concerns and rental-related issues in a professional and timely manner.
- Promote rental programs, rental purchase options, and other dealership services to maximize revenue opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety procedures, and manufacturer guidelines.
- Cook up with sales, parts, and service departments to provide a seamless customer experience.
- Support dealership goals by maintaining strong customer relationships and contributing to overall rental department growth.
Qualifications
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Excel in a high volume fast paced environment.
- Creative problem solver.
- Excellent customer relations skills.
- Good computer and systems knowledge.
- Must be able to pass a drug screen.
- Valid Driver's License in good standing is preferred.
Physical Requirements
- Occasionally lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling 50-100 pounds and/or frequently lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling 20-50 pounds and/or continuous lifting, carrying, pushing.
- Physically able to work outdoors in all weather conditions and around fumes & loud noise.
- Physically able to operate construction equipment and forklifts.
- Physically able to operate a variety of automated office machines including a computer, printer, facsimile machine, copy machine, calculator, telephone, etc. on a repetitive basis.
- Regularly required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, grasp or pull and lift objects.
- Occasionally required to sit, climb and balance, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl, and lift.
