Renewables Process Operator - Night Shift (7pm-7am)

About the role

The Renewables/Ethanol Production Worker supports ethanol production processes, including cook, distillation, energy center, and DCS operations, while assisting with corn grinding, fermentation, distillation, evaporation, dryer, and boiler processes. This hands-on role is ideal for a safety-focused individual who enjoys monitoring processes, operating equipment, and contributing to efficient renewable fuel production.

Responsibilities

• Perform processing functions in cook, distillation, energy center, and/or distributed control system (DCS) areas of ethanol production with assistance.
• Conduct activities related to corn grinding, cook operations, yeast and fermentation quality control, distillation, evaporation, dryer, and boiler operations.
• Monitor production processes and adjust equipment settings or raw material inputs as directed to ensure optimal efficiency.
• Perform general product sampling, lab testing, document results, and report findings to crew leadership and/or laboratory personnel.
• Maintain documentation and record key production data as directed.
• Operate various types of mobile equipment.
• Perform general housekeeping tasks such as sweeping and cleaning to support safe and efficient operations.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
• 0-2 years’ relevant experience required.
• Basic computer operation and data entry skills.
• Ability to operate mobile equipment and/or a valid driver’s license preferred.
• Previous production experience preferred.
• Must be willing and able to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds as needed.
• Work is performed in a 24x7 ethanol production facility with exposure to adverse weather conditions, dust, fumes, noise, and potentially hazardous materials.
• Some work performed at heights.

Schedule

• Rotating crew schedule: 2 days on, 2 days off, 5 days on, 5 days off.
• Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM (night shift receives a differential).
• Includes weekend and holiday work; shift assignment will be consistent but may require flexibility to work day or night shifts based on business needs.
