About the role
The Lead, Renewable Power Market (US) will be responsible for establishing and building client relationships, finding and developing business opportunities, and being the face of BBA Consultants' brand in new regions. This role supports the Director of the Wind & Solar business line to develop and implement broader strategy for all regions.
Responsibilities
- Establish, strengthen and grow client relationships
- Define and implement strategy for growth in new regions
- Foster strong internal relationships and engagement with BBA Consultants’ staff in the US (as well as Canada and globally)
- Identify, develop and oversee of any new services, skillsets and tools
- Specific strategic project oversight
- Advise our clients
- Mentor our technical staff
Requirements
- Engineering degree (civil, structural, geotechnical or electrical discipline preferred), with a Professional Engineering registration in one or more jurisdictions in the United States
- Minimum 15 years experience in the electric power sector with at least 5 years in renewable energy (wind/solar/battery energy storage), with broad sector knowledge
- Strong knowledge of renewable energy (wind, solar, BESS) technologies and OEMs
- Strong communications, interpersonal, relationship building skills
- Extremely versatile and broad – thrives on a wide variety of tasks and challenges
- Strong and demonstrated critical thinking skills
- Able to travel to domestically within the United States and international destinations (such as Canada, Peru and Chile)
- Fluent in English
Qualifications
- Project Management proficiency
- Design/Construction/Commissioning supervision and/or coordination experience
- Knowledge of permitting, interconnections and project development
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) designation in multiple US States
- Fluency in French and/or Spanish language

- Technical expertise in renewable energy (wind, solar, BESS) technologies
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to build and maintain strong professional relationships with clients and key stakeholders
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Ability to travel and work internationally

Pay
BBA considers many factors when determining the annual base salary, including location, market, education, relevant and demonstrated work experience, technical assessment, qualifications, certifications and other relevant skills.
