About the role

The Renewable Energy Tax Credit Associate will advise developers, draft and negotiate tax credit transfer agreements, and handle financings and M&A in the renewable energy sector. The position is open in any of our offices, including our virtual office, The Link.

Responsibilities

• Advise clients on renewable energy tax credits and real estate incentives
• Draft and negotiate tax credit transfer agreements
• Handle financings and M&A transactions in the renewable energy sector

Requirements

• Four to six years of experience in renewable energy tax credits and related areas
• Active bar license in the state corresponding to the office of application (or commitment to obtain one promptly)
• Excellent academic credentials
• Superior interpersonal skills and ability to work well under pressure
• Exceptional judgment and ability to manage multiple projects
• Strong articulation of legal strategies and courses of action

Pay

• Colorado, Illinois, Massachusetts, Maryland, Washington: $230,000–$260,000
• California, New York, Washington, D.C.: $240,000–$265,000
• Minnesota, Vermont: $215,000–$246,000
• All other markets: varies based on market data
