Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Thoroughly evaluate operational data to plan a proper course of action and manage production capacity.
- Be responsible for inspecting ongoing activities for safety and environmental compliance, and adherence to Standard Operating Procedures.
- Inspect plant machinery and equipment, and maintain, repair, and service all equipment in accordance with facility Standard Operating Procedures, equipment maintenance manuals, and WMRE policies and training.
- Manage various relationships with power/gas purchasers as a first point of contact, and comply with power purchase agreements, gas sales agreements, interconnect agreements, or other contracts.
- Procure plant supplies and replacement equipment in an efficient manner, and provide a written inventory count twice annually.
- Respond promptly to call-outs of plant shutdowns during non-business hours, and conduct plant tours as requested.
- Manage backup staff and adjust daily or weekly on-site presence at plant during business hours.
- Represent WMRE as the on-site technical expert on production of renewable energy from landfill gas, and participate in public forums to support business development and community education.
- Maintain effective relationships with key political and community decision makers in the region.
- Complete special assignments/tasks as required by WMRE Operations Manager, Market Area Gas Operations Manager, or Landfill District Manager.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED (accredited)
- 5 years of relevant work experience diagnosing and repairing internal combustion engines and cooling systems
- Valid drivers license
- Fundamental knowledge of computer data entry and interpretation
- Ability to manage fiduciary responsibilities
- Ability to lift a minimum of 100 lbs
- Ability to diagnose and repair DC circuits 12/24 volts
- Basic knowledge of 120/240/480 3ph volt AC circuits
- Understanding of 4160 volt circuits
- Familiarity with basic principles of building maintenance
