Renal Pathologist

Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, Department of Pathology is seeking a full-time, tenure-track faculty member for the Division of Nephropathology. The successful candidate will receive an academic appointment at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor, along with medical staff appointments at The Johns Hopkins Hospital and Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center.

Requirements

• MD degree or MD/PhD degrees
• Board certified/eligible in Anatomic and/or Clinical Pathology
• Eligible for a State of Maryland medical license
• Formal training and/or experience in diagnostic interpretation of native and transplant kidney biopsies

Responsibilities

• Diagnostic nephropathology activities (significant portion of duties)
• Additional clinical expertise in cardiovascular, urologic, or autopsy pathology is desirable

Qualifications

• Demonstrated record of scholarly accomplishment preferred
• Independent funding encouraged but not mandatory

Research Opportunities

The institution offers ample opportunity for involvement in collaborative clinical, translational, and basic science investigation. Access to research equipment is available in the Cardio-Renal Pathobiology Laboratory.

Pay

The salary range for this position represents the minimum and maximum salaries based on Johns Hopkins University's good faith belief at the time of posting. Actual compensation will depend on factors including geographic location, skills, work experience, internal equity, market conditions, education/training, and other relevant considerations.
