RENAL DIETITIAN - HRLY: Stanley, VA.

About the role

Join a talented group of more than 90 Morrison Healthcare dietitians at the University of Virginia Health System in beautiful Charlottesville, Virginia. At this level one trauma center, dietitians play an integral role on multidisciplinary teams in many specialty areas, both in the 675-bed inpatient setting, as well in over 35 outpatient clinics. RDs participate in research and quality improvement projects, host dietetic interns, and are supported in pursuing leadership and community service experiences. Continuing education opportunities are plentiful from within the accomplished nutrition team and from the health system which values ongoing training and education. We operate 10 outpatient dialysis facilities in Central Virginia.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nutrition care to approximately 25 patients in an outpatient dialysis facility as a Renal Registered Dietitian.
• Collaborate with a comprehensive interdisciplinary healthcare team in a chronic care setting to support optimal patient outcomes.
• Educate physicians, patients, and other healthcare professionals on renal nutrition and related topics.
• Participate in continuous quality improvement and develop comprehensive individualized plans of care for chronic kidney disease patients.
• Promote food security through a robust onsite Food Pharmacy program.
• Work independently and as part of a collaborative team environment with a network of 12 RDs who provide ongoing support, education, and professional networking opportunities.

Requirements

• Registered Dietitian (RD) credential required.
• Enthusiasm for renal nutrition, continuous quality improvement, and comprehensive individualized care for chronic kidney disease patients.
• Ability to work well independently and with a team.
• Minimum of one-year clinical experience post registration with CDR preferred; less than one-year applicants will be considered.
• Strong interest in renal disease states and clinical nutrition.

Pay

Hourly pay range: $28.80 – $43.27 per hour, based on experience.

Schedule

Part-time, 8 hours per week (one day per week) at UVA Page Dialysis in Stanley, VA, located off Route 340 Business between Luray, VA and Alma. Outpatient setting.
