Remote Volunteer Quality Assurance Engineer — iLevelUP

Responsibilities

• Review user stories, designs, acceptance criteria, and technical changes for testability
• Create and execute functional, integration, regression, API, compatibility, and accessibility tests
• Develop maintainable automated tests where they add value
• Record reproducible defects with severity, evidence, environment, and expected behavior
• Verify fixes and update regression coverage
• Use synthetic or approved test data and protect all credentials and participant information
• Coordinate with developers, product, UX, security, and support volunteers
• Never test production destructively or access sensitive data without authorization

Qualifications

• Experience in software testing, quality engineering, test automation, or application support
• Strong exploratory testing, defect reporting, web or mobile tools, APIs, Git, and basic scripting
• Familiarity with accessibility, browser or device compatibility, privacy, security, and CI/CD
• Careful documentation and reliable remote collaboration
• At least 18 years old and willing to complete screening and confidentiality requirements
