Responsibilities
- Review financial statements, budgets, cash flow, investments, and organizational performance
- Help assess financial policies, internal controls, insurance, and risk-management practices
- Support annual audit and IRS Form 990 oversight
- Recommend the annual budget to the Board
- Translate financial information into clear, actionable guidance
- Contribute to occasional finance-related projects
Qualifications
- At least five years of relevant finance, accounting, investment, audit, banking, or nonprofit financial-management experience
- Ability to read and interpret financial statements and budgets
- Sound judgment, discretion, and collaborative communication skills
- Commitment to ethical governance and expanding opportunities for underserved youth
Pay
Remote, recurring volunteer leadership role associated with Believe in Me’s Seattle, Washington office.
Schedule
Expect up to 10 hours per month, including regular committee meetings and occasional projects.
