CodeVertex Talent is seeking a Remote Typist Data Entry Specialist to convert written, scanned, or digital source material into clean and consistently formatted records while maintaining strong typing accuracy. The role is remote and requires dependable communication, self-management, and consistent availability during agreed working periods.
Responsibilities
- Type and format information from approved documents, forms, notes, or digital source files.
- Compare completed entries against source material and correct spelling, spacing, and formatting errors.
- Apply established naming conventions, templates, and data-entry standards.
- Flag illegible, incomplete, or contradictory source information rather than making unsupported assumptions.
- Maintain orderly electronic files and update progress in the designated work tracker.
- Protect sensitive information and follow confidentiality requirements at all times.
Requirements
- Accurate keyboarding skills and careful proofreading habits.
- Ability to maintain focus while completing detail-oriented, repetitive assignments.
- Working knowledge of word-processing tools, spreadsheets, and browser-based platforms.
- Clear written communication and dependable follow-through in a remote environment.
- Ability to follow formatting instructions and quality standards consistently.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous typing, transcription, data-entry, records, or administrative experience.
- Familiarity with document templates, shared folders, and file-naming conventions.
- Experience reviewing typed work against original source documents.
