Remote Sensing OPIR Engineer - #897

For our client, we are seeking a Remote Sensing OPIR Engineer - #897 to join the team of a leader in the Business Services space. This role will support the development and refinement of advanced remote sensing data-processing capabilities for defense and national security applications. The engineer will focus on prototyping algorithms, troubleshooting pipeline performance, and helping ensure reliable analysis of sensitive sensor data. This position will also partner with government stakeholders and external collaborators to produce technical documentation and drive remediation efforts. Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available Compensation: $100,000 – $120,000 annually Responsibilities Support prototyping and development of OPIR data-processing algorithms. Evaluate and troubleshoot data-processing pipelines, identifying anomalies. Coordinate remediation strategies for data-processing issues. Develop white papers and technical documentation. Collaborate with government and external organizations. Qualifications Active TS/SCI clearance required. Bachelor's degree in computer engineering, physics, computer science, or a related field. Minimum of 2 years' experience in EO/IR algorithm development. Advanced understanding of EO/IR signal processing and machine learning applications. Experience with OPIR data formats and processing pipelines. Proficient in Python development. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
