Remote Senior Tax Manager | $10k Sign-On | Up to $190k + Bonus

About the role

We are an independently owned, boutique CPA firm that is modern, tech‑forward, and focused on delivering exceptional tax and accounting services to small business clients nationwide. The firm has grown organically over the past two years and offers a clear, accelerated path to Director — potentially within 6 to 12 months — for the right Senior Tax Manager. You will oversee the tax team, report directly to a Partner, and play a key advisory role for clients while enjoying a supportive, collaborative culture.

Responsibilities

• Review and manage S‑corp, partnership, and individual tax returns for a portfolio of small business clients under $10M in revenue
• Serve as a primary client contact — advising business owners directly on tax planning, entity structure, and compliance matters
• Lead, supervise, and develop the tax team — with a clear path to overseeing the entire department as Director
• Identify proactive planning opportunities and communicate them clearly to clients and partners
• Collaborate directly with Partners on client strategy, firm growth, and practice development
• Contribute to the firm's culture, technology adoption, and operational improvement initiatives

Requirements

• Active CPA or EA required
• 7+ years of public accounting tax experience
• Minimum 2‑3+ years as a Tax Manager (senior leadership role)
• Small business focus required — clients under $10M in revenue; no large C‑corp background
• Strong technical foundation in S‑corps, partnerships, and individual returns
• UltraTax experience strongly preferred
• Client‑facing advisory experience — comfortable owning the relationship, not just reviewing the work
• Entrepreneurial mindset — you want to build something, not just maintain it
• Self‑directed and comfortable working fully remote

Pay

Base salary: $150,000–$190,000
