Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Remote Salesforce Developer to support a federal client by designing, developing, and modernizing Salesforce applications and integrations.
About the role
The Salesforce Developer will focus on refactoring existing applications to leverage out-of-the-box Salesforce functionality, modernizing data models and platform capabilities, and developing scalable solutions using Apex, Lightning Web Components, and emerging Salesforce technologies. This position requires a Top Secret Clearance.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, configure, test, and deploy Salesforce applications using Apex and Lightning Web Components (LWC)
- Refactor existing Salesforce applications to maximize out-of-the-box platform functionality
- Modernize Salesforce data models by leveraging standard objects and platform capabilities
- Develop and implement solutions based on user interface and user experience specifications
- Design and develop custom Lightning Web Components using JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
- Develop Salesforce integrations using REST and SOAP APIs
- Manage Salesforce security and access controls, including roles, profiles, permission sets, sharing rules, public groups, and record-level security
- Monitor Salesforce seasonal releases and evaluate new platform capabilities
- Assess the impact of Salesforce releases on existing applications and recommend modernization opportunities
- Design and implement solutions leveraging Agentforce and other emerging Salesforce capabilities
- Develop solutions using Experience Cloud, Service Cloud, Lightning App Builder, and Flow Builder
- Collaborate with technical teams, stakeholders, and government customers to gather requirements and develop effective solutions
- Communicate application status, technical issues, risks, and proposed solutions to stakeholders
- Follow Salesforce development best practices, coding standards, and security guidelines
- Work within a Scrum team using Agile development methodologies
- Support DevSecOps practices, including source-driven development, Git-based version control, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Engineering, Business, Computer Science, or a related discipline
- 5+ years of professional Salesforce development experience
- Strong understanding of Salesforce data architecture, object models, relationships, and data management strategies
- Strong hands-on experience with Apex, SOQL, SOSL, and Lightning Web Components (LWC)
- Experience with JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
- Experience with Salesforce REST and SOAP APIs and platform integrations
- Experience with Lightning Web Security (LWS)
- Experience designing solutions using Agentforce, Experience Cloud, and Service Cloud
- Experience with Lightning App Builder and Flow Builder
- Experience developing custom Lightning Web Components
- Strong understanding of Salesforce security and access controls
- Experience delivering Salesforce solutions using Agile methodologies
- Experience with DevSecOps practices, including Git, CI/CD pipelines, source-driven development, and automated testing
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with technical teams and government stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications
- Salesforce Certified Platform App Builder
- Salesforce Certified Platform Developer I or II
- Salesforce Certified Agentforce Specialist
- Experience supporting federal enterprise programs
- Familiarity with enterprise governance and compliance requirements
- Knowledge of Section 508 accessibility requirements
- Understanding of FISMA, FedRAMP, and NIST 800-53 controls
Pay
Salary: $135,000 - $145,000
