The company connects patients with multidisciplinary care teams specializing in hormonal, metabolic, and reproductive health, and provides ongoing support for conditions such as PCOS, insulin resistance, and perimenopause. As one of the fastest‑growing women’s health platforms in the U.S., Allara is expanding its care model to include psychiatric services for women navigating the intersection of hormonal and mental health. The Consulting Psychiatrist will help launch Allara’s Psychiatry Service Line, shaping clinical protocols, safety standards, and hiring frameworks from the ground up.

Responsibilities

• Develop clinical protocols for the treatment of mild to moderate depression, anxiety, and PMDD, including medication management and therapeutic modalities.
• Design safety and escalation protocols for behavioral health.
• Build a hiring rubric and assessment framework for PMHNP candidates.
• Participate in initial PMHNP interviews alongside the clinical team.
• Post‑launch, allocate 50% of time to treating patients experiencing mild to moderate depression, anxiety, and PMDD.
• Provide case consultations and support on ad‑hoc escalations.

Requirements

• Active board certification in Psychiatry through the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN) or the American Osteopathic Board of Neurology and Psychiatry (AOBNP).
• Active, unrestricted, and unencumbered medical license in at least one of the following states: California, Florida, New York, or Texas (an IMLC license is acceptable if willing to obtain licensure in one of those states).
• Minimum of 5 years of post‑residency clinical experience as a practicing psychiatrist, with a focus on outpatient care.
• Demonstrated experience treating conditions at the intersection of hormonal and mental health, including depression, anxiety, and PMDD.
• Ability to translate clinical rigor into scalable protocols, safety standards, and hiring frameworks in a fast‑moving environment.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication, with strong virtual webside manner and empathetic, evidence‑based patient care.
• Technical proficiency navigating multiple screens and tools such as EMR, Gmail, Google Calendar, Zoom, and scheduling platforms.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in a telehealth or high‑growth care delivery environment.
• Experience designing behavioral health safety and escalation protocols.

Pay

Compensation: $240 per hour, paid as a 1099 independent contractor with a longevity recognition bonus.

Schedule

Time commitment: Pre‑launch – 5 hours per week from October 26 to February 27; Post‑launch – 10 hours per week from March 27 onward.
