Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute procurement strategies that support company goals, operational efficiency, and cost management objectives.
- Manage the full procurement lifecycle, including supplier identification, evaluation, negotiation, contracting, purchasing, and performance monitoring.
- Research, evaluate, and select suppliers based on quality, pricing, reliability, service levels, and business requirements.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors, suppliers, and strategic partners.
- Negotiate pricing, contracts, payment terms, service agreements, and procurement conditions.
- Maintain supplier performance and address issues related to quality, delivery, pricing, and compliance.
- Analyze purchasing trends, market conditions, and supplier data to identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Manage purchase orders, contracts, invoices, and procurement documentation.
- Collaborate with Finance, Operations, IT, Facilities, Human Resources, and other departments to understand purchasing needs.
- Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies, industry standards, and applicable regulations.
- Develop and maintain supplier databases, pricing records, and procurement reports.
- Track procurement performance metrics, including savings, supplier performance, delivery timelines, and spending analysis.
- Identify opportunities to improve procurement processes through automation, technology, and workflow improvements.
- Support budget planning and forecasting by providing procurement insights and cost projections.
- Review and approve purchasing requests based on company guidelines and approval processes.
- Manage vendor onboarding processes and ensure required documentation is completed.
- Resolve supplier disputes and negotiate solutions to maintain strong business relationships.
- Prepare regular procurement reports and presentations for leadership review.
- Stay informed on industry trends, transportation costs, supply chain challenges, and market changes.
- Support strategic initiatives and special projects related to supply chain optimization.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Procurement, Logistics, Finance, or a related field preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in procurement, purchasing, sourcing, supply chain management, or vendor management.
- Strong knowledge of procurement processes, contract negotiation, and supplier relationship management.
- Experience managing supplier contracts, purchase agreements, and vendor performance.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Strong analytical abilities with experience reviewing costs, trends, and purchasing data.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Experience using procurement software, ERP systems, or supply chain management platforms.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines independently.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a remote environment while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- Strong understanding of confidentiality, compliance, and business ethics.
