Remote Principal Software Developer

About the role

We are seeking a Principal Software Developer to lead system design and architecture for a global retail platform.

Responsibilities

• Drive scalable system development
• Analyze and improve existing infrastructure
• Enhance system reliability and performance
• Provide technical guidance
• Conduct architectural deep-dives
• Mentor engineers
• Promote best practices across teams
• Contribute to development, testing, deployment, and incident management processes

Qualifications

• 15+ years in software development and 5+ years in technical leadership
• Experience managing large architectures with over 35 engineers
• Proficiency in multiple technology stacks such as Go, PHP, Java, Python, etc.
• Strong communication skills and ability to facilitate technical discussions
• Optional expertise in distributed systems, domain-driven development, and retail/ecommerce domains
• Ideal candidates are passionate, collaborative, goal-oriented, and fluent in English, with an emphasis on continuous improvement and innovation
