Responsibilities

  • Provide final interpretation of all inpatient and ED examinations, primarily CT, US, X-ray, and some MRI exams
  • Cover overnight teleradiology shifts for Mayo Clinic Health System, including a level II trauma center in Eau Claire, WI, and multiple accredited Stroke Centers
  • Interpret body, thoracic, MSK, and neurological imaging (CT and MR) with proficiency
  • Work a standard night schedule of 7 days on and 14 days off (~121 night shifts/year + 20 daytime shifts = 0.9 FTE)
  • Collaborate with a collegial team of overnight radiologists during overlapping 9-hour shifts (Monday-Sunday, Central Time)
  • Provide additional onsite weekday daytime coverage, including two remote daytime weeks (Mon-Fri) and two on-site Mon-Fri work weeks at a community hospital (travel stipend provided)
  • Engage in Mayo Clinic Radiology committee representation, academic appointments, and interactions with colleagues across the Midwest and nation

Qualifications

  • Subspecialty Radiology fellowship required (neuroradiology or emergency radiology preferred; other relevant fellowships considered)
  • ABR board eligible or board certified
  • Eligible to obtain medical licenses in Minnesota and Wisconsin, in addition to maintaining licensure in state of residence
  • Experience and proficiency with ED/inpatient Stat CT and MR neurological imaging
  • Strong general radiology skills

Pay

The minimum starting salary for Medical specialties may range from $208,000 to $708,168. Pay varies based on specialty, experience, FTE, internal equity, or external market data.

Schedule

  • Full Time (0.9 FTE)
  • 7 days on, 14 days off cadence (~121 night shifts/year + 20 daytime shifts)
  • Overnight shifts: 9-hour shifts, Monday-Sunday (Central Time), overlapping with other radiologists
  • Additional daytime coverage: Two remote Mon-Fri weeks and two on-site Mon-Fri weeks (travel stipend provided)
