Remote I&C Engineer

Responsibilities

• Achieve innovative digital I&C design through collaboration with visionary teams.
• Tackle complex challenges, develop system solutions, and create impactful designs that shape the future of control systems.
• Perform a variety of complex digital I&C design engineering activities, including PLC, DCS, networked computer systems, and digital instrumentation & control systems functional requirements.
• Coordinate systems design activities to ensure installation and operations comply with specifications, codes, and client requirements.
• Prepare Engineering Change Packages (ECP) to replace/upgrade obsolete analog-based I&C systems with modern computer-based I&C systems and components.
• Prepare and review detailed calculations, including scaling, uncertainty, and setpoint calculations for analog and digital controls applications.
• Prepare documentation for design input for drawing production including master diagrams and schematics.
• Perform design studies, project scopes, and engineering estimates.
• Provide estimates to Project Management to support budget and schedule development.
• Plan and implement the timely execution of assigned engineering activities.
• Perform review of Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) digital platform hardware and software technical documentation for specified applications.
• Participate in project meetings, working interactively with colleagues and clients to develop strong relationships.
• Conduct site walkdowns as needed to identify design solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or similar engineering degree.
• Professional Engineering License.
• At least 10 years of I&C engineering experience.
• Experience with nuclear design projects.
• Knowledge of digital hardware and software components commonly used in digital I&C system platforms.
• Experience in the design, installation, and testing of large scale (complete systems) digital control and computer monitoring system upgrades at power plants.
• Direct involvement in the entire digital upgrade life cycle including feasibility studies, procurement specifications, design change packages, FAT/SAT test procedure development, installation, and testing.
• Working knowledge of the application of current regulatory and industry digital upgrade standards.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Strong analytical skills and problem identification/resolution.
• Ability to be an individual contributor and work effectively in a team environment.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen.

Pay

Compensation Range: USD $140,000.00 - USD $165,000.00 /Yr.
