Remote Hotel Dishwasher, Qavartarvik Customer Lodge - Multiple Vacancies Open ($20.50/HR & Benefits - 4x4/Housing/Meals - Bethel, AK)

About the Role

We are hiring multiple Dishwashers to perform cleaning, stocking, dishwashing, and minor food preparation duties in a commercial kitchen within a restaurant setting at the Qavartarvik Customer Lodge in Bethel, AK.

This is a rotational position with a 4-weeks on & 4-weeks off schedule. Housing and three meals per day are provided. Point of hire origins are Anchorage, AK and the YKHC Service Area.

Responsibilities

• Dispose of trash in assigned receptacles.
• Clean various carts and trash receptacles.
• Stock storage areas with incoming products.
• Wash objects by hand or with cleaning equipment.
• Clean dishes, utensils, pots, pans, etc., and place them in assigned storage areas in an organized manner.
• Clean, sweep, wipe down, and maintain all general dining, kitchen, storage areas, equipment, and floors.
• Assist with periodic and scheduled cleaning projects.
• May serve on the line to support food service production.
• May assist manager with inventory counting.
• Keep the clean dish area tidy at all times.
• Help maintain a clean dining room, tables, and chairs.
• Follow the dress code according to department guidelines.
• Perform other duties pertinent to the department or unit’s success as assigned.

Requirements

• Ability to work rotating shifts, weekends, and callouts.
• Must obtain a Food Handler card, Alaska Food Workers card, or ServSafe certification within 30 days of employment.
• Contract requires a flu shot pre-hire and annually thereafter.
• Must be fluent in speaking, reading, and writing English.

Preferred Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Prior experience or training demonstrating knowledge of cleaning equipment/processes or suitability for this type of work.
