Responsibilities
- Properly, safely, and efficiently prepare food products while following standard food-handling procedures.
- Performs all action station food production duties with specific items determined by assigned shift.
- Reviews the needs of the day with assigned supervisor(s), completes production sheets and recipes, and verifies all supply needs and availability.
- Attends daily CPM (culinary planning meeting).
- Responsible for quantity and quality control in food production as well as overall sanitation of assigned areas.
- Greets customers with excitement and demonstrates a customer service attitude.
- Verifies food serving lines, areas, etc., making sure they are properly stocked, set up, and cleaned.
- Ensures work areas are thoroughly cleaned and organized prior to the end of every shift, providing a seamless transition to the next shift or rotation.
- Maintains food production equipment and storage areas following proper sanitation, safety, and operational procedures.
- Has ability to recognize and use proper PPE for the job tasks.
- Adheres to all safety policies, requirements, and training.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- At least three (3) years of related food preparation experience.
- Experience in food prep, set up, and action station cooking.
- Cleaning and maintaining food service equipment.
- Food Handler card, Alaska Food Workers card, or ServSafe certification within 30 days of employment.
- Must be fluent in speaking, reading, and writing English.
- This contract requires a flu shot to be administered pre-hire and annually thereafter.
Preferred Qualifications
- Preference given to candidates with action station cooking experience.
- Preference given to candidates with experience in Vietnamese cuisine, flavors, and cooking techniques.
- Knowledge of pho broth preparation.
- Knowledge of noodle preparation.
- At least two (2) years of related vocational training.
