Remote Electrical Estimator
About the role
Spartan Integration & Consulting is seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Electrical & Low Voltage Estimator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing accurate, comprehensive, and competitive cost estimates for commercial, industrial, municipal, and specialized facility projects. The ideal candidate possesses deep technical expertise in traditional electrical systems as well as low-voltage solutions, including fire alarm, intrusion security, video surveillance (CCTV), access control, and structured network infrastructure. Position details: Department: Estimating / Pre-Construction; Employment Type: Full-Time; Location: Oviedo, FL (Hybrid / On-site options available); Experience Level: 3-5+ Years in Electrical & Low Voltage Estimating.
Responsibilities
- Bid Preparation & Takeoffs: Perform complete material and labor takeoffs from architectural drawings, engineering schematics, specifications, and addenda.
- Multi-System Scope Coverage: Develop thorough cost models for:
- Commercial & Industrial Electrical Systems
- Fire Alarm & Life Safety Systems
- Access Control & Intrusion Security Systems
- CCTV / IP Surveillance Camera Networks
- Structured Cabling & Low-Voltage Network Infrastructure
- Vendor & Subcontractor Coordination: Request, evaluate, and compare vendor material quotes and subcontractor proposals to ensure complete scope coverage.
- Site Visits & Pre-Bid Meetings: Attend pre-bid walkthroughs, conduct site inspections, and identify unique field conditions affecting project costs.
- Proposal & Turnover Development: Draft detailed scope letters, clarifications, and exclusions for client bids; compile complete turnover packages for project management upon award.
- Value Engineering & Change Orders: Provide value-engineering recommendations to clients and assist project managers with change order pricing and scope adjustments.
