Remote Customer Service Representative (Must Live Within Southern CA)
About the role
Are you a strong communicator who enjoys solving problems and helping customers feel confident with their products? We’re looking for a Customer Technical Support Representative to support consumers with questions related to mechanical locks, product features, installation guidance, troubleshooting, and general product information. This is a great opportunity for someone who is customer-focused, tech-savvy, mechanically inclined, and eager to learn.
Responsibilities
- Answer a high volume of incoming consumer calls and emails related to product questions, installation support, troubleshooting, and general information.
- Provide clear, professional, and helpful guidance to customers while following company procedures.
- Evaluate product concerns and determine whether an item may need repair, replacement, or additional support.
- Aid consumers with product features, models, installation techniques, and basic troubleshooting.
- Accurately document customer interactions and product details while speaking with consumers.
- Direct customers to the appropriate resource or next step when additional support is needed.
- Handle challenging customer situations with patience, tact, and a strong service mindset.
Requirements
- Strong customer service skills and a positive, professional communication style.
- Ability to troubleshoot, problem-solve, and stay calm in difficult customer situations.
- Basic computer skills for data entry and information retrieval.
- Technical mindset with a willingness to learn.
- Self-motivated personality and ability to learn through hands-on experience.
- Basic mechanical aptitude.
- Able to type 35+ WPM.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Bilingual Spanish or French skills are a plus.
- Previous call center, customer support, hardware, or home improvement experience is preferred but not required.

- The ideal candidate is someone who enjoys helping people, can explain information clearly, and is comfortable learning technical product details.
- You do not need to be an expert on day one — we’re looking for someone who is dependable, curious, coachable, and motivated to build knowledge over time.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr. Benefits are subject to change and may be subject to specific elections, plan, or program terms. If eligible, the benefits available for this temporary role may include the following:
