About the role
This role is for a Remote Distech Programmer who will be part of a building automation team. The position is fully remote, allowing you to work from anywhere as long as you have reliable equipment and can participate in virtual meetings.
Responsibilities
- Programming and commissioning Distech systems using EC-gfxProgram, ENVYSION and the ECLYPSE and ECB controllers.
- Building out control sequences and graphics for HVAC and wider building systems, adhering to project specifications and sequence of operations.
- Integrating kit across BACnet, Modbus and LonWorks networks.
- Handling remote commissioning, troubleshooting, and tuning on live sites.
- Reviewing submittals, points lists, and controls drawings, contributing to the design process.
- Collaborating with project managers, field technicians, and clients to ensure successful project completion.
- Assisting junior programmers as needed.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of actual Distech programming experience. Experience on other platforms is beneficial but cannot replace Distech experience.
- Good hands-on knowledge of EC-gfxProgram, ENVYSION graphics, and the ECLYPSE and ECB range.
- A thorough understanding of HVAC systems and standard sequences of operation.
- Real-world experience with BACnet protocols and integrating third-party devices.
Qualifications
- Data center experience is a significant plus but not mandatory.
- Experience in other mission-critical environments such as healthcare, laboratories, pharmaceuticals, or trading floors is advantageous.
- Any experience with Niagara or other Building Automation Systems (BAS) platforms is welcome.
- Industry certifications are considered a bonus.
