Key Responsibilities
- Remedial system designs such as groundwater extraction and treatment systems, soil vapor extraction systems, thermal remediation system, and in-situ injection remedies
- Create engineering design documents including technical specifications, bid packages, cost estimates, and as-built drawings
- Perform remedy selection and feasibility evaluations for complex sites with multiple contaminants and regulatory frameworks
- Conduct performance monitoring design and optimization, and system O&M evaluations
- Support permitting efforts (RCRA, NPDES, Air) and development of regulatory submittals
Required Experience And Expertise
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
- 8–12 years of environmental consulting experience with progressive technical and project responsibilities
- Demonstrated experience in remedial design and implementation, environmental data analysis, and regulatory reporting
- Experience managing scopes, schedules, and budgets on engineering-focused tasks or projects
- Proficiency with engineering tools such as AutoCAD, Excel, and applicable modeling software
- Excellent technical writing, communication, and presentation skills
- Able to travel for field programs and client meetings, as needed (10–15%)
- PE licensure or ability to obtain licensure within 1 year
- Familiarity with CERCLA, RCRA, and state environmental regulatory programs
- Experience mentoring and delegating to junior staff and contributing to internal knowledge sharing
