About the Role
As a Remarketing Attendant, you will perform refurbishment and maintenance tasks for the Remarketing Department of Volvo Construction Equipment machinery and related equipment. This role involves providing quality repairs on gas and diesel engines in both shop and field environments while championing a "Safety First," "Customer Focused," and "Continuous Improvement" culture.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrate safe and proper use of hand, pneumatic, and electric tools.
- Perform mechanical repairs and service on Volvo Construction Equipment’s full product line (shop-based work only).
- Maintain good knowledge of equipment systems, including hydraulic, air, electrical, and lubrication.
- Work on or around heavy construction equipment, including climbing and accessing hard-to-reach areas.
- Perform tasks based on verbal or written instructions and communicate effectively with supervisors and coworkers.
- Lift up to 50 pounds and possess a complete set of tools required for the job.
- Follow through on all job facets, including parts ordering, retrieval, and customer follow-up.
- Maintain a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Uphold high levels of customer satisfaction and willingly accept responsibility.
- Work overtime as needed to complete assigned tasks.
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED.
- Prior experience in the construction industry preferred.
- Background with hydraulics and diesel engines preferred.
- Full understanding of OSHA and applicable safety regulations.
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local safety regulations pertaining to job sites.
- Ability to work in physically demanding conditions, including prolonged sitting/standing, stooping, bending, crouching, and overhead reaching.
- Occasional lifting, pulling, carrying, or pushing objects over 50 lbs; frequent handling of objects up to 25 lbs.
- Ability to work in loud, noisy, and dusty environments.
- Manual dexterity for operating machinery and computers.
- Safe and proper handling of pneumatic and electric tools.
Pay
The base pay for this position is $19.00 - $24.00 per hour, with potential bonus eligibility. Final salary is determined by factors including geographic location, work-related knowledge, certifications, skills, education, and experience. Pay equity and internal equity considerations are also part of the final offer.
