Relief Youth Development Specialist

About the role

The Youth Development Specialist supports BGCB members, core programs, and activities. Responsibilities include delivering quality programs, supervising members, and participating in collaborative events.

Responsibilities

• Deliver remote and in-person learning support for BGCB members and programs.
• Supervise and discipline members as needed.
• Collaborate with staff from other clubhouse departments and community organizations.
• Maintain a safe and clean program area.
• Attend individual and group supervision sessions and professional development opportunities.
• Assess and report on the impact of programs through annual member surveys.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent, with at least 1 year of experience in youth recreation programs.
• CPR/FA certification.
• Ability to multi-task and be flexible.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work with youth from diverse backgrounds.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Flexibility to work clubhouse hours, including summer hours from 8:00am-6:00pm.
• Willingness to work up to an 8-hour shift.

Qualifications

• Preferred: MS Office and web competency.
• Must be or become CPR/FA certified.
