About the role
Relief bus drivers serve the Bluff, Montezuma Creek, and Monument Valley areas, filling in for route drivers on an on-call, as-needed basis.
Responsibilities
- Transport students to various activities.
- Monitor loading and unloading activities to ensure safety.
- Assure safe and complete de-busing of children.
- Monitor surroundings and environs to detect hazards and prevent hardship.
- Monitor student activity and behaviors to assure safety.
- Administer routine discipline as needed to maintain order and safety.
Requirements
- Possess a valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with Class B, P, and S endorsements (training provided by the district if needed).
- Physically capable of driving a school bus and evacuating students in an emergency.
Pay
$23.35 per hour (substitute salary schedule).
