Job Title: Relief Driver (Class A or D CDL) Location: Monroe, La Reports To: Fleet Manager Employment Type: Full-Time/Part-Time Position Overview: The Relief Driver is responsible for safely and efficiently transporting goods, materials, or equipment on a daily basis. This position also serves as backup coverage for regular route drivers, using a Class A or Class D Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) vehicle, filling in as needed to support delivery schedules and operational demands. The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-oriented, and flexible, with strong communication and time management skills. Key Responsibilities: Operate Class A or Class D CDL vehicles in compliance with DOT regulations and company safety policiesProvide coverage for regular route drivers during absences, vacations, or high-demand periodsTransport, and deliver goods accurately and on schedule on a daily basisConduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and operational readiness per DOT requirementsMaintain accurate logs, delivery records, and required documentation (electronic and paper)Communicate proactively with dispatch and operations regarding delivery times, route changes, or delaysAdhere to all weight limits, traffic regulations, and company operational guidelinesAssist with basic vehicle maintenance and cleanlinessAlways represent the company professionally with clients, customers, and the publicResponsible for account integrity, including, product rotation, restock coolers, window placements, displays and shelves Qualifications: Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL-A) or Class D (Chauffeur's)Clean driving record with no major violations in the past 3 yearsCurrent DOT Medical Card and ability to pass required physical and drug screeningClean FMCSA recordAbility to operate various commercial delivery trucks, vans, and/ or tractor-trailer combinationsExcellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skillsAbility to lift up to 45 lbs. and work in varying weather conditions Work Schedule & Conditions: 4 day work week. 3 day weekend!
