Job Purpose

To work as part of a team to maintain a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene within the home, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment at all times.

Essential Requirements

• Good communication skills
• Ability to work as part of a team
• Ability to work on own initiative
• Satisfactory PVG check
• Two satisfactory references

Previous experience relevant to the position

Main Responsibilities

• Clean all areas of the home in line with the cleaning schedule
• Restock toiletries, soaps, towels, etc. as required
• Order cleaning supplies from the approved list following management sign-off
• Ensure cleaning equipment is in good working order and maintained regularly

Training & Development

• Participate in supervision sessions and ongoing training
• Maintain professional knowledge and competence
• Attend mandatory training sessions on or off site

Health & Safety

• Adhere to the company’s waste disposal and infection control policies
• Follow the Home’s Health & Safety and Emergency Procedures
• Report any infectious illness, accidents, or hazards to the Care Manager
• Promote safe working practices at all times

General Duties

• Promote and maintain the good reputation of the Home
• Maintain confidentiality at all times
• Notify management promptly of any absence
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures
• Ensure all equipment is clean and well maintained
• Undertake any other duties as directed by management
