RELIEF Direct Support Professional Day Program

About the role

The ARC of the Greater Hudson Valley is seeking RELIEF Direct Support Professionals for day programs in group home settings. These positions provide training and guidance to individuals with developmental disabilities on daily living skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide training and guidance on daily living skills to individuals with developmental disabilities.
• Support individuals in performing tasks such as meal preparation, personal hygiene, and medication management.
• Ensure safety and compliance with all regulations and policies.
• Communicate effectively with clients, families, and other team members.
• Arrange transportation as needed, requiring a valid driver's license with 12 months of driving experience.

Requirements

• Valid driver's license with 12 months of driving experience.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Pre-hire physical examination required.

Qualifications

• Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred but not required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Pay

• $18.05 per hour for non-medical certification.
• $18.50 per hour with medical certification.

Schedule

Hours vary based on client needs and program requirements.
