Relief CSR Driver

About the role

As a Relief Customer Service Representative at Vestis®, you will build solid, positive working relationships with customers and exceed their expectations. You will balance exceptional customer service with individual sales growth goals in a competitive environment. This role involves operating a company step van to provide products and services while generating goodwill and loyalty for the organization.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a company step van in a designated area to provide products and service to clients.
• Verify daily preventative maintenance of the vehicle and maintain proper operator documentation.
• Manage a daily route independently to ensure accurate and timely delivery of products.
• Load and unload products following company policies, procedures, and guidelines.
• Review invoices daily for accuracy and make corrections as needed.
• Meet sales goals and promote route growth to enhance profitability.
• Develop leads and prospects, solicit new business, prepare service agreements, and install new accounts.
• Assist the sales organization in procuring additional new business.
• Possess a strong understanding of services, policies, and pricing methods and communicate these clearly to customers.
• Monitor customer feedback and handle customer issues promptly and courteously.
• Prioritize personal safety and the safety of others by adhering to safe work practices and policies.
• Perform other duties as required or assigned within the scope of the role.

Requirements

• Minimum age of 21 with a valid driver’s license and an excellent driving record.
• Customer service experience with consistent customer contact.
• Strong math and basic computer skills.
• Demonstrated experience selling services/products and generating new business (preferred).
• Excellent customer service and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and resolve customer concerns quickly.

Working Conditions

• Exposure to adverse and varying weather conditions, including extreme temperatures.
• Fast-paced environment, sometimes requiring irregular and long hours.

Physical Requirements

• Routinely lift and maneuver a minimum of 25 lbs. and load/unload product from the truck without assistance.
• Occasionally lift and maneuver 50+ lbs.
• Position requires bending, squatting, climbing, and reaching.

Qualifications

• High school degree or equivalent.
• Valid Driver’s License.
